The nominal voltage is 3 volts, about the double that of other battery chemistries(alkaline button batteries, silver oxide batteries, etc.). They can be used for a long period of time in low drain applications.

Manganese dioxide is used for the positive active material, and metallic lithium is used for the negative active material. An organic electrolyte is used.

By applying our special design, the batteries deliver good performance even at low temperatures, with a wide temperature range.

These batteries also meet the needs of high drain and pulse discharge applications, such as back-lighting and alarm functions equipped in electronic watches.

The special design assures minimal self-discharge and the batteries can be stored for a long period of time.
